What is Gender Affirmation Surgery?
Gender Affirmation Surgery is a procedure used as part of a larger therapy plan to help physically transition a person from one gender to another.
Gender Affirmation procedures are usually combined with Transgender Psychology and Gender Counselling, performed by clinics.
There are several types of Gender Affirmation surgeries available. Here at Aesthetic Edge, we work primarily in Male-to-Female Top Surgery, Female-to-Male Top Surgery, and Facial Feminisation Surgery only.
How Does Gender Surgery Work?
Gender Affirmation Surgery primarily works by augmenting bodily features to help transgender patients physically transition to the gender they most identify with.
At Aesthetic Edge, we can conduct Chest Surgery to add or remove breast tissue, as well as Facial Feminisation Surgery to alter the shape of the face, in line with more feminine features.
Both are undertaken in a hospital environment under general anaesthetic in line with your individual goals and expectations.
